Visit the Uffizi Gallery

Botticelli's Venus

Botticelli’s Venus

In addition to visiting the Accademia Gallery, a visit to the Uffizi Gallery is a must while you’re in Florence!

The museum houses one of the world’s most important collection of Italian Renaissance works of art, including Botticelli’s Primavera and Birth of Venus, Filippino Lippi’s Madonna and Child with Two Angels, Titian’s Venus of Urbino and many other works from the Masters Cimabue and Giotto, Early-Renaissance pioneers Fra Angelico and Masaccio, as well as works by Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo (the Tondo Doni). Learn more about the halls and works of art at the Uffizi Gallery, then plan your visit to the museum on our online informational guide to the museum, Uffizi.org.

If you don’t want to waste precious vacation time in lines, we recommend you buy your ticket ahead of time to skip the lines at the entrance!

How do I purchase tickets to the Uffizi?

There are two ways to book your museum tickets ahead of time: by phone or online.

The most economic way is through the phone (although you will have to pay for the international call). Or you can book online for the convenience of booking your tickets right now, regardless of what time it is in Italy!

Note you will always have to pay €4 extra for prebooking tickets, regardless of how you book.

  1. Phone: call +39-055-294-883 to book by phone (keep in mind the time difference with Italy which is +1 UTC. Phone center operating hours are: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm, closed Sundays.)
  2. Online: you have several options online, depending on whether you’re interested in just tickets or a tour as well, and if you’re coming during the high season in Florence, you might find tickets at one site and not another. The most convenient is always through the official reseller, B-ticket, so check on their website first for tickets.

NOTE if you’re interested in a Guided Tour of the museum: If you’re interested in visiting the museum with a guide, DO NOT BUY TICKETS! You book a tour and the cost includes your museum entrance ticket. Check out all of our recommendations on the Guided Tours page!
